** Job Opportunity: OpenShift Engineer (Application Deployment & Configuration Focus) **

 

We are seeking a skilled OpenShift Engineer to join our team and support the deployment, configuration, and optimization of applications on Red Hat OpenShift. The ideal candidate has strong experience with containerized applications, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices, with a deep understanding of how applications behave within OpenShift environments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Deploy, configure, and manage applications on Red Hat OpenShift clusters (OCP).

- Work closely with development teams to onboard and containerize applications following best practices.

- Create, maintain, and optimize OpenShift resources such as DeploymentConfigs, Deployments, Routes, Services, Secrets, ConfigMaps, Operators, and Pipelines.

- Troubleshoot application-related issues, including networking, build failures, performance bottlenecks, pods/crashloop issues, and integration points.

- Manage CI/CD workflows using tools such as Tekton, ArgoCD, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

- Ensure proper configuration of OpenShift clusters for application resilience, scaling, and security.

- Develop automation for deployment, monitoring, and configuration management using Ansible, Helm, or GitOps methodologies.

- Collaborate with platform teams to ensure cluster health, upgrades, and compliance with organizational standards.

- Provide guidance and best practices for developers on containerization, image builds, and OpenShift-native application design.

 

Qualifications:

7+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes platforms.

Strong knowledge of application deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management in OpenShift.

Proficient in container technologies and image registries.

Experience with YAML, Helm charts, Operators, and OpenShift templates.

Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana), and logging stacks.

Good understanding of cloud-native architecture, microservices, and API-driven environments.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Red Hat certifications (EX280, EX288, EX480) are a plus.
