Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our EMEA Service Delivery team within the Global Technologies & Infrastructure organization in Cairo, Egypt.

 

 

 

This role focuses on providing operational support across the EMEA region, covering server administration (Windows & Linux), infrastructure support, client support (Windows & Linux), and virtualization infrastructure for all Siemens DISW Engineering segments in the region.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Provide 2nd level support for all engineering servers located in multiple data centers across EMEA (Build, QA, Performance & Benchmarking, Virtualization).

 

• Deliver 2nd level client support (PC hardware, Windows, Linux, VMware).

 

• Execute small-scale technology deployment projects.

 

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with employees at all levels, leveraging excellent customer service, interpersonal, and technical skills.

 

 

 

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related IT field.

 

• 3+ years of experience in IT with a focus on systems administration.

 

• Proficiency in using ticketing systems.

 

• Solid understanding of enterprise data center operations.

 

• Expertise in Windows: system build, optimization, troubleshooting, security, virtualization, VPN, and automated deployments.

 

• Windows Server OS: installation, configuration, optimization, clustering & high availability, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), monitoring, and backups.

 

• Good knowledge of networking and virtualization technologies.

 

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas and share knowledge effectively.

 

• Fluent in English.

 

• Willingness and ability to travel if required.
