We Are Hiring: Layer 1 NOC Engineer (Network Background Required)
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Layer 1 Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a moderate foundation in networking, with basic knowledge in switching, routing, wireless, and firewalls.
???? Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to network alerts and incidents
- Troubleshoot Layer 1 issues (fiber, cabling, optics, patching)
- Support switching, routing, and wireless connectivity
- Assist with basic firewall checks and packet-flow troubleshooting
- Coordinate with Tier 2/3 teams to ensure quick resolution
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow NOC procedures
???? Requirements
Solid knowledge of switching (VLANs, STP, trunking) and routing fundamentals
Understanding of wireless networks and firewall basics
Experience in NOC, service provider, or enterprise environment
Ability to work in 24/7 shift rotations
Certifications like CCNA, JNCIA, or Fortinet are a plus
